Our Story: Water is Life, and We Deliver It

Bonvic Drilling Co. Ltd was founded in 2010 by Eng. Bonface Morgan Olingo and Victor Ateya Washika. Both were driven by a single conviction. Every Kenyan home, farm and institution deserves reliable access to clean water.

At the time, Kenya was already feeling the effects of unreliable municipal water supply and rising drought intensity. Families in Kajiado, Machakos, Kitui and Nairobi’s peri urban areas were spending more on water bowsers than on most household utilities. We saw what proper, professionally drilled boreholes could do for these communities, and we built a company to deliver them.

Over the past 16 years, we have grown from a small Nairobi based outfit into one of the most trusted borehole drilling contractors in Kenya. Today we operate across all 47 counties with our own modern drilling rigs, WRA licensed hydrogeologists, NEMA compliant processes and a dedicated team of engineers and technicians.

Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to provide every client in Kenya with a properly surveyed, legally registered and lasting borehole that delivers clean water for decades. We do this through proper engineering, transparent communication and uncompromising standards.

Our vision is a Kenya where no household, farm, school or hospital ever loses productivity to water scarcity. We work towards that vision one borehole at a time.

Why Choose Bonvic Drilling?

Drilling a borehole is a decades long infrastructure investment. The contractor you choose determines whether that investment pays off or becomes a costly mistake. Here is what sets us apart.

1. Fully Licensed and Compliant

We are licensed by the Water Resources Authority (WRA), certified by NEMA for environmental compliance, and registered with the National Construction Authority (NCA) where applicable. Every borehole we drill is legally registered and properly documented.

2. We Handle Every Stage In House

From the hydrogeological survey to the final commissioning, no part of your project is subcontracted to unknown third parties. Our team handles the survey, the permits, the drilling, the casing, the test pumping, the water quality analysis and the pump installation. You deal with one accountable company from start to finish.

3. Modern Equipment and Proven Expertise

Our drilling rigs are equipped for depths from 30 metres in the Coast to over 300 metres in arid Northern Kenya. We work with WRA licensed hydrogeologists who use Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) and Electromagnetic (EM) profiling to identify productive aquifers before a single metre is drilled.

4. Lasting Results, Not Quick Fixes

A properly drilled borehole should last 30 to 50 years. We achieve that lifespan through quality casing materials (covered in our PVC vs steel casing guide), proper grouting, full borehole development and accurate test pumping. We also offer ongoing maintenance plans so your borehole keeps performing for decades.

5. Complete Documentation Every Time

On completion, every client receives a registration certificate, drilling log, hydrogeological report, water analysis certificate, test pumping data and an operation and maintenance manual. This documentation is essential for property valuation, insurance and future repairs.
