Borehole Pump Installation & Equipping in Kenya

A borehole only gives water once the right pump is in. We size your pump from real test pumping data, then install the full system: pump, pipes, controls and tank. New boreholes and pump replacements.

Who it is for

When You Need Pump Installation

Whether your borehole is brand new or your old pump has given up, the goal is the same: steady water without burning out the pump.

πŸ†•

Newly drilled borehole

Your borehole has been drilled and tested. Now it needs a pump and a system to bring the water to your tank and taps.

πŸ”

Old pump has failed

The pump has burnt out or keeps tripping. We find out why, then fit a replacement sized correctly this time.

πŸ“

Pump is the wrong size

Too big and it drains the borehole and runs dry. Too small and you never have enough water. Both cost you money.

🏠

More people or more land

Your household, school or farm has grown, and demand is now higher than the old system can supply.

πŸ”Œ

Moving off the grid

Want to stop paying for power? We can fit a solar pump instead. See our solar pump systems.

🚰

Shallow well or low lift

For shallow wells we also offer surface pumps and hand pumps where they make more sense.

What is included

A Complete, Working Water System

Pump sizing is critical. We select your pump using the yield and water level from your test pumping results, not guesswork.

Then we size the rising main, electrical supply, control panel and storage to match, so every part works together.

  • Submersible pump selection and supply
  • Surface pump options for shallow boreholes
  • Pump installed at the correct depth based on test pumping
  • Rising main pipes and fittings
  • Control panel with dry run protection
  • Storage tank supply and installation
  • Water tower options (see why a tower helps)
  • Full system commissioning and handover

How it works

How We Equip Your Borehole

From test results to running water in four clear steps.

1

Review your borehole data

We look at the depth, yield and water level from your test pumping report. If there is no report, we test first.

2

Work out your demand

We ask how many people, animals or acres the water serves, so the system meets your real daily need.

3

Design and quote

You get a written plan with the pump, pipes, controls and tank, and the full cost before work starts.

4

Install and commission

We install, run the system, check pressure and protection, and show you how to look after it.

Want a rough idea first? Our free pump and tank size calculator estimates the pump power and tank size you need from your depth and daily demand.

Why Bonvic

Why Choose Bonvic for Your Pump

πŸ“Š

Data, not guesswork

Every pump we fit is matched to measured yield and water level, which protects both the pump and the borehole.

🧰

One team, one result

The same company that drilled and tested your borehole can equip it. One point of contact from start to finish.

πŸ›‘οΈ

Protection built in

Dry run protection and proper controls stop the pump burning out when the water level drops.

β˜€οΈ

Grid or solar

We install electric, solar and hybrid systems, and help you choose based on your site and running costs.

πŸ—ΊοΈ

All 47 counties

We install pumps for homes, farms, schools and businesses across Kenya.

πŸ“‹

Licensed and compliant

We are registered with the Water Resources Authority and follow NEMA rules.

FAQ

Borehole Pump Installation Questions

What size pump does my borehole need?

It depends on your borehole yield, the water level, the depth and how much water you use each day. We size it from your test pumping data. For a quick estimate, try our pump and tank size calculator.

Can you install a pump in a borehole drilled by someone else?

Yes. If you have the drilling and test pumping records, share them with us. If not, we can test the borehole first so the new pump is sized correctly.

Why does my pump keep burning out?

The most common causes are a pump that is too big for the yield, no dry run protection, poor power supply or sand in the water. We check all of these before fitting a replacement.

Should I choose a solar or an electric pump?

Solar removes monthly power bills and keeps working during outages. Grid power can suit sites with heavy evening use. Hybrid systems give you both. See our solar pump systems page.

How long does installation take?

Most installations on a ready borehole take one to two days, depending on the depth, the tank or tower setup and site access.

Do you supply the water tank too?

Yes. We supply and install storage tanks and can build elevated steel water towers for better pressure.
