When Does Your Borehole Need Attention?

Most borehole problems start small. Catch them early and the repair is quicker and cheaper. Call us if you notice any of these.

πŸ“‰

Less water than before

The flow has dropped or the tank takes longer to fill. This often means clogged screens or a worn pump.

🟀

Muddy, rusty or smelly water

Silt, iron or bacteria are building up inside the borehole. Flushing and treatment usually clear it.

⚑

Pump trips or runs dry

The pump cuts out, overheats or runs with no water. It may be set too deep, too big or failing.

πŸ”Š

Strange noises

Rattling, grinding or air in the pipes points to pump wear, a leak in the rising main or a low water level.

πŸ•³οΈ

Pump stuck or casing damaged

The pump will not come up, or sand and stones enter the water. This can signal collapse or broken casing.

πŸ“…

No service in over a year

Even a healthy borehole needs a yearly check. Regular service protects your pump and your yield.

How it works

How a Borehole Repair Works

A clear process, so you know what is happening at every step.

1

Tell us the problem

Send us a WhatsApp message with your location and what is wrong. Photos or a short video help a lot.

2

Site visit and diagnosis

An engineer checks the pump, water level, flow and water quality. Where needed, we run a camera down the borehole.

3

Clear plan and quote

You get a written explanation of the cause, the fix and the cost before any work starts.

4

Repair and test

We carry out the repair, test the flow and hand the system back working. We also advise on how to prevent a repeat.

Not sure what is wrong? Try our free borehole problem diagnoser. It suggests the likely cause in a few clicks, so you can describe the problem when you call.

FAQ

Borehole Maintenance and Repair Questions

Do you repair boreholes drilled by other companies?

Yes. We repair, flush and maintain any borehole, no matter who drilled it. Many of our clients come to us after problems with another contractor.

How often should a borehole be serviced?

We recommend a full check at least once a year, and more often for boreholes that run many hours a day, like farms, schools and estates. See our maintenance schedule guide.

Can a borehole with low water be fixed?

Often, yes. Low yield is commonly caused by clogged screens, silt or a worn pump, and flushing or a pump change can restore flow. If the water level itself has dropped, we will explain your options honestly.

Is it cheaper to repair or drill a new borehole?

In most cases repair is much cheaper than drilling again. We only advise a new borehole when the old one cannot be saved, for example after a severe collapse.

My water has turned brown. Is it safe?

Do not drink it until it is tested. Brown water can mean iron, silt or contamination. We can flush the borehole and arrange a lab test. The WHO drinking water guidance explains why testing matters.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. We offer annual and quarterly maintenance contracts for homes, farms, schools, estates and businesses. Ask us on WhatsApp for a plan that suits your borehole.
